Like the loaf dish illustrated in fig. 32, this plate has staining in the glaze, which is typical of plates with the stamped star design. In addition, the clay used in this plate has an agateware look. This may have been clay left over from the manufacture of a “variegated” ware. Sherds of a scroddled-type ware have been found at the site. |
