The success of William Rogers’s pottery can be measured by the widespread distribution of his finished wares. Examples of his utilitarian forms are found at archaeological sites throughout the tidewater region of Virginia, with specimens also being reported from Maryland and North Carolina. Historical evidence suggests his wares may even have reached Caribbean ports.
