These two teapots were de­signed by Thorley, according to the flyer illustrated in fig. 74 from a series usually referred to as Victorian Style. The Plume shape is colored in Tea Rose and the Birch shape is colored in Blue Mist. A 1947 ad states that they were sold by the Jewel Tea Co. for $1.75 each (Whitmyer and Whitmyer, Collector’s Encyclopedia of Hall China, p. 202).
