This monumental storage jar displays the characteristic Schermerhorn rounded rim, well-defined collar/neck, and extruded crescent-shaped handles brushed with blue cobalt and placed high on the shoulder. Centered on one side is an incised federal-style eagle filled with blue cobalt. On the reverse are floral vines separating two rounded blossoms.
