Figure 10  Thorley’s printed mark was registered in 1956. In the application he states that he used the mark as early as 1955; therefore, pieces with this mark must have been made between 1955 and the 1970s, when Thorley ceased producing. Objects with this mark and the oval Colonial Williamsburg mark are rare and were made in 1955 or 1956.
