On December 17, 2016, Dr. Sarah Beetham of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts offered an intimate salon on Civil War monuments, steampunk practices, and the complicated relationship between objects and time in Mrs. M.—’s Cabinet at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Her presentation, entitled “Time Traveling Objects: Past, Future, Retrofuture, and Material Culture,” is part of The Chipstone Foundation’s occasional Salon series held in Mrs. M.-—’s Cabinet.
