In Fall of 2016, Chipstone’s Curator and Director of Research Dr. Sarah Anne Carter taught the graduate seminar “Curating Mrs. M.––––– ’s World” at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dr. Carter assigned each of the seven talented students in the course—Abby Rose Armstrong, Natachia Mavis Attewell, April Lynne Bina, Selena Erdman, Cameron Fontaine, Savannah Hill, and Kelsey Sophia Rozema—an item from Chipstone’s collections to research and install in Mrs. M.––––– ’s Cabinet. Their challenge was to develop a creative installation that reflected Mrs. M.––––– ’s object-based, ethical approach to American history and culture. Ted Brusubardis documented their dynamic installations in this video. Mrs. M.––––– ’s Cabinet is one of the five galleries curated by The Chipstone Foundation in the Constance and Dudley Godfrey American Wing of the Milwaukee Art Museum. Mrs. M.-—’s Cabinet
